Ciena NTK553RA

TruePulse would like to acquire NTK553RA circuit packs for the Ciena 6500 system.  You may possibly also know it as a Nortel OME 6500 NTK553RA.

The NTK553RA, HECI code WOGUA4UFAA, is a Ciena 6500 ROADM with Line Amplifier (RLA) C-Band 5x1 circuit pack.  Of course, ROADM stands for Reconfigurable Optical Add-Drop Multiplexer.

The NTK553RA can broadcast and select wavelength switching utilizing a 5-port flexible grid Mux WSS (wavelength selective switch) and 5-port flexible grid Demux broadcast.  The optical amplification is achieved through a dual line EDFA using a switchable gain pre-amp and a variable gain post-amp.  It operates in the C-Band wavelength range of 1528.77 nm to 1566.72 nm, with 96 possible channels.

The Ciena 6500 is an integrated multi-service SONET/SDH and metropolitan dense wave division multiplexing (DWDM) optical platform for converged time division multiplexing (TDM), data, wavelength, and transparent services transport.

In addition to the NTK553RA, TruePulse is searching for multiple other circuit packs for the Ciena 6500.  We are also interested in Nortel Ciena circuit packs to other optical networking platforms, including the Optera Connect DX, the OME 6000, the S/DMS TransportNode OC-48 NE, the FMT-150 and the Optera Metro 5200.
