NTK553EAE5 and NTK553LB

TruePulse would like to acquire NTK553EAE5 and NTK553LB circuit packs for the Ciena 6500 system.  You may possibly still have Nortel OME 6500 branded NTK553EAE5 and NTK553LB as well.

The NTK553EAE5 (or alternately the NTK553EA), HECI code WMUCA1W, is a Ciena 6500 Wavelength Selective Switch (WSS) 100 GHz w/OPM C-Band 5×1.  It supports flexible per-wavelength add/drop/passthrough and per-wavelength switching in 100 GHz spacing.  It is a double slot interface.

The NTK553LB is a Ciena 6500 Wavelength Selective Switch (WSS) Flex C-Band w/OPM 9×1, double- slot module.  It supports flexible per-wavelength add/drop/passthrough and per-wavelength switching in 50 GHz spacing.  In contrast to the NTK553LA, the NTK553LB is designed to support future flexible grid apps with traffic channels beyond 500 GHz.

The Wavelength Selective Switch (WSS) is an advanced fiber optic module that can dynamically select individual wavelengths from multiple DWDM input fibers and switch these to a common output.  Said another way, WSS switches DWDM channels or wavelengths.

The Ciena 6500 is an integrated multi-service SONET/SDH and metropolitan dense wave division multiplexing (DWDM) optical platforms for converged time division multiplexing (TDM), data, wavelength, and transparent services transport.

In addition to the NTK553EAE5 and NTK553LB, TruePulse is searching for multiple other circuit packs for the Ciena 6500.  We are also interested in Ciena circuit packs to other platforms, including the CoreStream, the Optera Connect DX, the Optera Metro 5200 and the S/DMS TransportNode OC-48 NE.
